Victoria Toensing tells Newsmax that Netanyahu plans to continue defying Biden
Victoria Toensing, former chief counsel of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, shared on Monday on Newsmax that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains firm in his leadership, regardless of President Joe Biden’s stance.
In an interview on “American Agenda,” Toensing highlighted Netanyahu’s steadfast position, stating, “Bibi is a very strong leader, and he is not bothered by Joe Biden’s views. Even though Joe Biden was attempting to put him in a difficult situation, Bibi is not backing down.”
President Biden’s recent appeal to Netanyahu to avoid launching an offensive in Rafah came at a time when Israel was seemingly preparing for military action against Hamas militants.
However, amidst increasing pressure, Hamas confirmed their acceptance of an Egyptian-Qatari cease-fire proposal, indicating a potential change in the conflict’s direction.
The Israeli Defense Forces reported initiating attacks on Hamas targets in Rafah, while cease-fire negotiations continued.
Toensing raised concerns about the loyalty of Jewish voters to the Democratic Party amid the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
“Are you paying attention, Jewish voters? Because I cannot comprehend why they have been so devoted to the Democrats,” Toensing remarked.
