Vivek Ramaswamy: Trump Trial Resembles a Scene from a Kafka Novel
Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy criticized the ongoing criminal trial of former President Donald Trump as “a politicized persecution” after attending the trial earlier that day.
Ramaswamy spoke in a press conference outside the Manhattan courthouse where Trump’s trial is ongoing. He was joined by Florida GOP Reps. Cory Mills and Byron Donalds, as well as North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.
He called the trial “a politicized persecution” and compared the environment in the courtroom to something out of a Kafka novel.
Ramaswamy expressed concern that prosecutors are trying to manipulate the jurors and emphasized the importance of a justice system that is blind to politics.
He criticized the prosecutor for campaigning against Trump and the judge for having ties to Democratic operatives, calling it a “bastardization” of the country’s founding principles.
