VP Harris Dismisses and Highlights Approval Ratings
Vice President Kamala Harris addressed her approval ratings in an interview with ABC, downplaying their importance while also stating that polls show her having “great approval ratings.” When asked about reports claiming she has the lowest approval rating of any vice president, Harris dismissed the claims and pointed to polls that reflect positive approval ratings. She argued that there are attempts to create distractions from the accomplishments of the Biden administration, such as the creation of millions of jobs and the restoration of America’s integrity on the international stage. However, polling averages from FiveThirtyEight and RealClearPolitics indicate a 40.2% and 40.7% approval rating for Harris respectively, with higher disapproval ratings. Recent polls from Leger, Monmouth University, and Fox News also show her as having a negative approval rating. Additionally, Harris commented on House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s suggestion of opening an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden and his family, dismissing it as political games and offering no further comment.
