Wenstrup speaks to Newsmax about NIH taking action against Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance

Rep. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, told Newsmax that ongoing investigations have led the NIH to debar Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance from receiving further funding, emphasizing the importance of accountability within government agencies.

Wenstrup revealed that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has taken action against Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance following investigations into their activities.

“Our investigation has resulted in the NIH debarring Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance, ensuring they will not receive any additional funding. Our efforts to investigate will continue,” Wenstrup said.

Addressing the need for accountability within government agencies, particularly the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), NIH, and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Wenstrup emphasized the importance of imposing criminal liabilities for violations of agency standards.

“If we don’t hold our agencies accountable for malfeasance, such as within Health and Human Services, NIH, NIAID, individuals who violate their own standards, we will struggle to rebuild trust. We need trustworthy individuals,” Wenstrup asserted.

Wenstrup also commended Dr. Rich McCormick’s testimony during a hearing titled “A Hearing with Dr. Anthony Fauci” held by the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

“It was a powerful testimony from Dr. Rich McCormick, an ER physician who has been caring for patients during COVID,” Wenstrup noted.

McCormick played audio during the hearing in which Fauci criticized the public’s concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine as “ideological bulls—.”

During the hearing, Fauci denied allegations that his agency funded research leading to the creation of the COVID-19 pandemic or engaged in a cover-up of its origins, dismissing such claims as “preposterous.”
