Whitaker and Bobb Tell Newsmax: Legal Chaos Looms Ahead

Former Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker told Newsmax on Friday that in the aftermath of former President Donald Trump’s conviction, “we are on the brink of complete chaos in our legal system.”

Trump was convicted on Thursday of 34 counts of fraud related to the falsification of business records to hide payments to adult entertainer Stormy Daniels.

Whitaker highlighted the Trump documents case in New York, describing it as a situation where Judge Juan Merchan was driven by a desire to win and was willing to bend the rules. “It’s disappointing, but we must now fight harder than ever to restore this republic,” he said.

“If the president of the United States cannot speak out and defend the Constitution and uphold constitutional rights, then we are living in a banana republic,” Whitaker emphasized.

Former Trump Attorney Christina Bobb also joined the conversation, urging Americans who are not typically politically motivated to get involved. “If you are troubled by what you see, take action. Get involved with your state or local party. This is a moment where everyone needs to come together,” she stated during an appearance on “Eric Bolling The Balance”.
