Whitaker tells Newsmax that Biden will prevent his son from going to prison
According to former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker on Newsmax Sunday, President Joe Biden will not pardon his son Hunter before the Nov. 5 election. However, Whitaker stated that after the election, Biden is likely to do whatever he can to keep his son out of jail, especially if Hunter is found guilty in the tax evasion charges he faces in California, which are set to go to trial in September. Whitaker described these tax charges as more serious, pointing out that the Department of Justice initially attempted to downplay the situation with a lenient plea deal.
Whitaker noted that Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice allowed critical tax years to expire under statute of limitations provisions, potentially linking the president to his son’s questionable dealings. Whitaker suggested that evidence in the tax case could implicate the president in the revenue laundering activities that benefited Hunter and other members of the Biden family. Despite these revelations, Whitaker expressed skepticism about Biden’s supporters altering their stance ahead of the election.
Regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop being used as evidence in his gun case, Whitaker criticized the 51 former intelligence officials who dismissed the laptop as Russian disinformation in 2020. He suggested that these officials should face repercussions for misleading the public and potentially influencing a presidential election.
