On Wednesday’s episode of ABC’s “The View,” the hosts made sarcastic comments regarding Elon Musk’s son, poking fun at his unique name, X Æ A-XII.

During their discussion, the co-hosts reacted to a televised briefing from the Oval Office held the previous evening, where Musk shared insights from his role leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Throughout the briefing, President Donald Trump sat at his desk while Musk was positioned to the president’s right. Notably, “Lil X,” as Musk affectionately refers to his son, was present in the room, capturing Goldberg’s attention.
“So yesterday, Elon Musk took his son X to a press conference,” Goldberg opened.
“X?” co-host Joy Behar inquired.
Goldberg, shaking her head, replied, “I didn’t name the child.”
Behar pressed, “That’s the kid’s name?”
“And I don’t want to hear any more nonsense about our names. Okay?” Goldberg — who was born Caryn Elaine Johnson — jested. “Anyway, he took little X —”
“And little Instagram,” Behar quipped, but co-host Sara Haines corrected that Musk does not own Instagram.
“He doesn’t own Instagram; he just brought Lil X with him,” Goldberg clarified. “To a press conference in the Oval Office to defend himself against critics who argue he shouldn’t have the authority to overhaul the federal agency.”
However, not everyone shared Goldberg’s and her left-leaning co-hosts’ perspective.
One commenter reacted: “It seems they CAN sink lower. Such Trash!”
Another user added: “This is BULL!!!! They are the absolute worst.”
During the briefing, Musk pointed out that there are individuals who are “probably dead” but still receiving social security benefits.
“Reexamining Social Security, we’ve got people in there that are 150 years old,” Musk remarked as Trump endorsed an executive order.
The new executive order aims to reduce the federal workforce, stipulating that agencies may only hire “no more than one employee for every four that leave,” as reported by Semafor.
