On Friday morning, Trump posted on Truth Social that Johnson (R-La.) is very close to enjoying 100% backing from the GOP caucus, asserting that a win for Johnson would be a major triumph for the Republican Party.

The president-elect further commented that Johnson’s success would affirm the significance of the most consequential presidential election in the past 129 years.
