Many citizens have declared Trump’s impending return to the White House as historic, emphasizing that no other presidential candidate has displayed such resilience, surviving two assassination attempts, facing relentless criticism from mainstream media, and striving to restore pride among U.S. citizens.

“Trump is a unique individual,” remarked Republican pollster Whit Ayres. “He represents a singular presence in American politics and has left an extraordinary mark on our political landscape. No one else comes close to achieving what he has.”

Both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin offered their congratulations to Trump, expressing their readiness to address the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

“We congratulate Donald Trump on assuming office … Moscow is open for dialogue with the United States, based on equality and mutual respect,” Putin stated on Monday.

“We recognize the statements from the newly elected U.S. President and his team about their desire to re-establish direct communication with Russia, which was disrupted by the previous administration,” Putin added, alluding to Trump’s earlier positions advocating for friendly relations with Russia.

“We also acknowledge his commitment to preventing a third world war. Naturally, we welcome this sentiment and extend our congratulations to the newly inaugurated President of the United States.”

Zelenskyy conveyed his eagerness to engage with the new Trump administration for “active and mutually beneficial cooperation.”

“I extend my congratulations to President Trump and the American populace on the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States. Today marks a day of change and a beacon of hope for resolving numerous challenges, including global issues. Trump’s decisive approach and the peace-through-strength policy he has proposed provide a foundation for enhancing American leadership and striving for a lasting and just peace, which remains a priority,” Zelenskyy wrote in a post on X.

“We wish you success, President Trump! We look ahead to active and mutually beneficial cooperation. Together, we are stronger and can foster greater security, stability, and economic growth for our nations and the world,” he added.

Outgoing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also congratulated the 47th president, declaring, “Canada and the U.S. have the world’s most successful economic partnership. We have the opportunity to collaborate once more to generate more jobs and prosperity for both our nations.”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to Trump as his “dear friend” in his congratulatory message.

“I look forward to a close collaboration once again for the benefit of both our countries and to collectively shape a better future for the world. Best wishes for a successful tenure ahead!” Modi stated in a post on X.

Pope Francis also offered his wishes for Trump, hoping for “wisdom, strength, and protection” during his second term.

“Motivated by your country’s ideals as a land of opportunity and inclusion, I hope that under your guidance, the American populace will thrive and strive to foster a more just society, free from hatred, discrimination, or exclusion,” Francis expressed.

“I invoke an abundance of divine blessings upon you, your family, and the esteemed American citizens.”

In the UK, Prime Minister Keir Starmer extended his warm remarks to the 47th president, stating, “The special relationship between the U.K. and the U.S. is set to thrive for years to come.”

“With President Trump’s long-standing friendship and historic connections to the United Kingdom, I confidence in this deep friendship endures,” Starmer added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to Trump for assisting in the recent hostage release agreement, which enabled the freedom of three women from Gaza after an extended captivity of over 15 months.

“On behalf of the Israeli people, I appreciate your efforts in facilitating the release of the Israeli hostages,” he said. “I look forward to partnering with you in efforts to secure the release of remaining hostages, to dismantle Hamas’ military capabilities, and to put an end to its political dominance in Gaza.”
