Young Woman Saved from Hamas Escapes Captivity with Her Canine Companion – One America News Network
Hamas and Islamic Jihad soldiers have been seen accompanying an Israeli hostage who was recently released. The hostage, held since the October 7th attacks by Hamas, was handed over to the Red Cross in Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip. The handover took place on November 28, 2023. The release is part of an exchange under the terms of an extended truce in the Israel-Hamas war, with an AFP journalist witnessing the release of several hostages. The newly released hostages, all women, were handed over by masked and armed fighters to Red Cross officials in Rafah near the border with Egypt. A total of ten hostages, including a teenage girl and her pet Shih Tzu, were released by Hamas on the first day of the planned two-day ceasefire. Other hostages included the mothers and grandmothers of the captives. It was reported that the hostages had been staying with their family members in different areas around the Gaza border when they were kidnapped. Additionally, nine children are still being held in captivity. Despite these releases, negotiations continue for additional exchanges.
