As a Democrat, I have switched sides to the GOP and support Trump
I’ve made the switch from the Democratic Party to the Republicans.
I am throwing my support behind Donald Trump for president.
Formerly a staunch Democrat, I held positions such as California state senator, chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus, and Senate Majority Leader.
I had actively participated in the Democratic National Convention as a delegate for Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, and served as the state co-chair for President Obama’s re-election campaign.
But I’ve now bid farewell to the Democrats. I’ve had enough, and I no longer identify with the party.
The “party of democracy” resorted to undemocratic measures, including erasing 14 million votes, to position Vice President Kamala Harris as their nominee.
It was reminiscent of a banana republic where political elites manipulated the system to impose their desired candidate. It was essentially a political coup.
During her tenure as California’s attorney general, Harris failed to leave a lasting impact.
She chose to align herself with the influential teachers’ union, hinting at a patronage system that was shaping her political trajectory early on.
Her ascent was part of the Democratic Party’s shift towards authoritarianism and censorship.
President Ronald Reagan’s cautionary words about fascism infiltrating America through liberalism were coming true. Individual freedoms were being stifled, silenced, and censored right before my eyes.
I witnessed the distortion of language, where expressing views regarding biological sex and gender identity became contentious and labeled as transgressions.
As a mother, I refuse to adopt the term “birthing person” and see through the party’s drastic shift in rhetoric.
While I believe in pro-choice, I cannot support extreme abortion practices that defy the principle of being “safe, legal, and rare.”
The present-day Republican Party, led by Trump, advocates for peace, in stark contrast to the Democrats’ inclination towards perpetual wars.
Harris’ silence on the valor of the American soldiers who laid down their lives during the Afghanistan fiasco speaks volumes about her leadership.
The Democratic Party has forsaken the working class, utilizing crises like COVID and climate change to curtail individual liberties while indulging in lavish gatherings like the infamous French Laundry incident.
