Authoritarianism versus freedom — opposing Kamala Harris’ stance
P’nut the squirrel and Liz Cheney are two unusual closing symbols of this election campaign. If we analyze the situation, we can see how they epitomize the real conflict on Tuesday: freedom versus authoritarianism, but in a way contrary to what Kamala Harris has been suggesting. It’s actually her political allies who were responsible for the squirrel’s demise.
The tragic confiscation and euthanasia of a pet squirrel by New York state officials and Kamala Harris’s endorsement of the Republican daughter of the architect of the Iraq war both highlight the authoritarian tendencies of the modern Democratic Party and its Deep State allies.
Let’s start with P’nut. This adorable pet squirrel was orphaned when his mother was hit by a car seven years ago and was taken in by an engineer named Mark Longo in upstate New York.
Recently, P’Nut and his raccoon friend, Fred, were seized during a five-hour raid on Longo’s home in rural Pine City by officers from the departments of Environmental Conservation and Health.
The animals were taken away and euthanized due to complaints about potentially unsafe wildlife housing and illegal keeping of wildlife as pets, according to a statement from the DEC.
Longo, 34, expressed his frustration in a viral TMZ video, stating, “Ten to 12 DEC officers raided my house as if I were a drug dealer.”
“Four departments and a judge approved a search warrant for a squirrel and a raccoon,” he added, with his wife visibly upset in the background.
P’Nut became a social media sensation and a symbol of government overreach, reminiscent of the FBI’s raids on Trump supporters and pro-life Christians.
This incident has highlighted the looming threat of authoritarian rule and government excess, which Trump supporters fear will worsen under a potential Harris-Walz administration.
Left’s favorite Cheney
Meanwhile, the Democrats’ glorification of Liz Cheney, a Trump-opposed war hawk and daughter of Dick Cheney, signals a transformation of the Democratic Party into a party of war and Cheneys.
Trump’s recent remarks about Liz Cheney being a “radical war hawk” have raised eyebrows, as Democrats now seem to have a more favorable view of security institutions like the CIA and FBI, a stark reversal from the past.
‘The Blob’
The politicization of the intelligence community and the Deep State’s influence on national security agencies are alarming developments that threaten freedom and democracy in America.
