Beware, New York, the far left continues to shape the Democratic agenda

Moderate Democrats are celebrating the decisive 17-point victory over Rep. Jamaal Bowman as a testament to the strength of the center.

If only.

Although voters in a predominantly Jewish district were able to defeat Bowman, known for his antisemitism, his Squad colleague Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other left-leaning individuals, such as Queens Assemblywoman Emily Gallagher, emerged victorious in their Democratic Party primaries on Tuesday.

Working Families Party leader Ana Maria Archila correctly pointed out: “The left wasn’t defeated. We grew our ranks.”

While two Democratic Socialist-backed candidates in Brooklyn and The Bronx suffered defeats, three other progressives will be expanding the WFP’s presence in Albany.

This makes it challenging for moderates to hinder detrimental housing, criminal justice, and tax policies.

Unless, of course, Republicans manage to win legislative seats from the Democrats in the upcoming elections.

They should, as moderate Democrats have repeatedly shown their inability (or unwillingness) to bring any fiscal responsibility to the Legislature, to oppose the continuous decline of the state’s public schools, or to implement substantial changes to the flawed “criminal justice reforms” of recent years.

In fact, the Albany County Democratic establishment teamed up with the WFP to remove incumbent District Attorney David Soares in favor of defense attorney Lee Kindlon, who is perceived as lenient on crime, in the primary election held on Tuesday.

Moreover, every New York Democrat supports President Biden’s detrimental policies — even though a few outliers, like Long Island’s Rep. Tom Suozzi, express some disapproval over the border crisis.

As the chaos at the border intensifies, Mayor Adams of New York City once again identified himself as the “Joe Biden of Brooklyn.”

May New York be saved.

The left continues to gain momentum within the Democratic Party in this state; the so-called moderates are the very individuals who have failed to halt this progression, despite the antisemitism associated with it.

Don’t be deceived, voters.

If you seek to counteract the radicals, you must oppose them and their supporters, and the most effective way to achieve this is by voting for as many Republicans as possible on the November ballot.
