Biden neglects multiple official requests regarding foiled migrant terror attack
Republican lawmakers have made six information requests to President Biden’s Department of Homeland Security about a Jordanian border-crosser’s May 3 attempted attack on Quantico Marine Corps Base in northern Virginia.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has rejected all requests.
One of the Jordanians, claiming to be an Amazon deliveryman, attempted to force his way into the base’s front gate using a large box truck. Marine sentries deployed road obstructions to prevent the attack, leading to the arrest of the individuals.
Rep. Mark Green, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, hinted at the possibility of subpoenas if responses are not provided soon.
The committee requested names of the attackers, motive behind the attack, border crossing details, and actions taken by DHS before and after the incident.
The DHS Office of Public Affairs did not respond to inquiries about the lack of response to the information requests.
Various House and Senate Republican lawmakers have also demanded answers regarding the incident.
Biden officials have avoided providing information about the attack, leaving the public uninformed.
Rep. Andy Biggs suggested compelling testimony from officials to provide answers to the American people.
Rep. Brian Babbin expressed frustration at the lack of response to his requests, claiming that the Biden administration is enabling potential attacks on U.S. soil.
