China must be held accountable for the COVID pandemic due to its obvious laboratory origin

Over a span of four years, a group led by Anthony Fauci worked to conceal the origins of COVID from a Chinese lab from the public eye.

Assisted by Beijing, they managed to keep this information largely hidden.

Skeptics like myself, who pointed out that the idea of the virus originating in a wet market was dubious, were dismissed as conspiracy theorists in the U.S. and labeled as racists by China.

My article revealing the lab’s role was censored on Facebook by Mark Zuckerberg, a close friend of Fauci.

Finally, the truth has emerged — or as the Chinese say, “The water has receded and the rocks have emerged.”

Even The New York Times, which once mocked Sen. Tom Cotton for his suspicions about a lab leak, has now come around to the possibility.

What was dismissed as a fringe theory is now being considered as a scientific fact.

According to Prof. Richard Ebright of Rutgers University, there is no evidence supporting a natural origin of the COVID virus and multiple lines of evidence point to a research origin.

Having uncovered the puzzle of COVID-19’s origin, there must be accountability.

Fauci and his supporters are slowly being exposed for their involvement in funding risky research in the Wuhan lab and attempting to cover it up.

China, however, has evaded much scrutiny for its role in creating and releasing COVID-19.

China bears direct responsibility for the loss of millions of lives, economic collapse, and harm to children’s mental health and education.

Justice demands that China’s leaders be held accountable for these crimes against humanity and pay reparations for the damage caused.

Unfortunately, the global community has largely remained silent on this issue.

In an ideal scenario, the world would demand accountability and reparation from China.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague has shown little interest in holding China accountable, focusing instead on other matters.

If justice cannot be served, can damages at least be sought from the responsible country, China?

The global economy has suffered trillions in losses due to the pandemic, with the U.S. alone estimated to have lost $14 trillion by the end of 2023.

Receiving any compensation from China seems unlikely under the current U.S. administration, which views China as a mere competitor rather than a formidable adversary.

Donald Trump is one leader with a plan to recover America’s losses from China and the determination to see it through.

Trump has proposed imposing steep tariffs on China, a move that would hit China harder than the U.S.

By leading in this manner, other populist leaders in Europe may follow suit.

While this may not bring back lost loved ones, holding China accountable could deter future pandemics.
