Congress endorsements from New York Post: Stefanik, Malliotakis, LiPetri, and D’Esposito
In our previous round of endorsements, we highlighted the importance of swing districts in New York that will impact the control of the House of Representatives in the upcoming elections.
The Democrats and their dark-money allies are heavily investing in getting Brooklyn’s Rep. Hakeem Jeffries elected as the next speaker to advance the progressive agenda, regardless of the White House outcome.
For the sake of the nation’s future, here are The Post’s additional picks for key races:
NY-3 (Nassau County and northeast Queens)
Rep. Tom Suozzi (D) faces a tough challenge from Mike LiPetri, who is dedicated to his community and stands firm on key issues such as border security and law enforcement support.
LiPetri is committed to fighting inflation by challenging ‘green’ initiatives and mandates that hinder property owners and investors.
He also advocates for strong support for Israel and the eradication of terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis.
Suozzi, while supportive of Israel, doesn’t offer the same level of commitment as LiPetri and is associated with the more progressive elements of the House majority.
NY-4 (southwestern Nassau County)
Rep. Anthony D’Esposito, a former NYPD detective, brings a wealth of law enforcement experience to the House Homeland Security Committee and champions moderate positions that reflect the district’s diversity.
D’Esposito prioritizes fixing border issues and has been endorsed by various unions and groups for his strong support for public safety.
NY-22 (Madison and Onondaga counties and parts of Cayuga, Cortland and Oneida)
Rep. Brandon Williams, a Navy veteran and businessman, offers strong leadership in national security, veteran affairs, and a practical energy policy.
His opponent, John Mannion, is backed by teachers’ unions and aligns with the progressive agenda, including softer stances on crime and controversial district gerrymandering.
We also endorse the following incumbents in their respective districts:
NY-1 (northern and eastern Long Island): Rep. Nick LaLota
NY-2 (south central Long Island): Rep. Andrew Garbarino
NY-11 (Staten Island and southern Brooklyn): Rep. Nicole Malliotakis
NY-21 (Adirondacks): Rep. Elise Stefanik
NY-23 (Western New York) Rep. Nick Langworthy
NY-24 (Central New York): Rep. Claudia Tenney
