Courageous teacher’s lawsuit against antisemitism in NYC public schools reveals troubling woke culture

If you agree with the sentiment of “All Jews need to be exterminated,” you are 100% welcome in New York City’s public school system. This is just one disturbing takeaway from a lawsuit filed against the system by Danielle Kaminsky, a Jewish global history teacher at Origins HS in Sheepshead Bay who was repeatedly victimized by young antisemitic individuals.

According to the lawsuit, the students at Origins HS engaged in various acts of antisemitism, such as waving Palestinian flags, chanting derogatory remarks towards Jews, drawing swastikas, posting threatening messages, verbally assaulting the teacher, attempting to bring explosive devices on campus, and sending a threatening email.

The response from the school administrators, particularly the acting interim principal Dara Kammerman, was inadequate. Instead of taking disciplinary action, Kammerman invited the students to participate in a “restorative justice” circle and allowed them to promote a protest in support of Hamas.

Furthermore, Kammerman dismissed the complaints of the teacher and retaliated against her professionally. The school also allegedly downplayed the extent of the hate incidents and punished the victims instead of holding the aggressors accountable.

It is evident that the school’s actions favored the perpetrators and marginalized the victims, perpetuating a culture of violence and discrimination against Jews. Kaminsky’s lawsuit seeks to expose this injustice and hold the school accountable for its actions.

It is crucial for individuals like Schools Chancellor David Banks to be held accountable for allowing such discrimination to occur within the public school system.
