Criticism ensues over Gov. Hochul’s remarks about Trump as a clown: Reader responses
The Topic: Gov. Hochul’s remarks about Trump supporters being referred to as “clowns.”
Gov. Hochul labeled Trump voters as “clowns” (“Don’s NY fans: Gov’s the fool,” May 25).
It’s interesting that Gov. Hochul considers former President Donald Trump’s voters as clowns when they seek an end to inflation, lower gas prices, secured borders, and global peace, all of which were possible during his prior administration.
Currently, all Hochul and her Democratic Party members have produced are high energy costs, increasing food prices, escalating crime rates, open borders, and chaos on the world stage. If Trump and his followers can address the current situation, then perhaps it’s time for a change.

I had the opportunity to watch Trump’s Bronx rally from my Long Island home, and I was deeply moved by the attendees.
I would be proud to be part of that community. Governor Hochul’s labeling of them as clowns is outright disrespect for the people in that area and is typical of Democrats who resort to insulting those they disagree with. The real question is: “How many clowns can be found in Albany and the White House?”
The answer is too many. It’s time for a significant change in New York and the country.

So, just two weeks ago, the black children of The Bronx allegedly didn’t know what a computer was. Now, the attendees of Trump’s rally in The Bronx are considered clowns.
It’s vital for The Bronx residents to realize how little regard the Democratic Party has for them.

It’s not surprising that New York and California are at the top of the list for out-of-state migration.
While the cost of living rises and crime escalates, Governor Hochul’s disrespectful remarks about New York citizens, whom she represents, contribute to people leaving.
Previously, she told New York Republicans to depart. Now, Trump supporters in The Bronx are being insulted as clowns.
The question to ask is when New Yorkers will elect a governor who truly cares for all constituents rather than driving them out.

Governor Hochul’s description of the nearly 10,000 Crotona Park attendees at a Trump event as “clowns” indicates a lack of connection with working-class Americans, akin to Pelosi.
The upcoming November election will test the coastal liberal elites defending President Biden’s failed tenure.

I take offense at Governor Hochul’s characterization of Trump supporters as “clowns.” I challenge her to face any supporter at a rally and make that statement. She will soon find out that we express ourselves openly.

Governor Hochul should apologize to those she labeled as “clowns” for attending Trump’s Bronx rally.
We’re expected to conform to Hochul’s views and voting preferences, or we’re deemed deplorable or, in this case, clowns. It’s evident that it’s the politicians running the state who are the real clowns.
These politicians display insanity by repeating the same actions with no change. Elections carry consequences, so it’s time to vote these clowns out.
