Cuomo’s Effort to Redeem Himself Through Correspondence
Shameless Cuomo
Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo seems to lack shame or moral character (“Cuomo’s COVID ills,” June 15).
Instead of expressing gratitude for not facing criminal consequences for the deaths of thousands during COVID (which he denies and downplays), and for the damage he caused to this state during his time in office, he is trying to make a political comeback.
It is disturbing that he continues to offer his opinions on how to govern New York.
He has already caused enough harm.
Most of the issues he complains about are a result of his own actions.
He ought to sit down, be quiet, and be thankful he is not behind bars.
He has caused enough harm to his constituents and the state.
Perhaps he should find a real job instead of trying to sneak his way back into office.
He is truly disappointing.

Juneteenth pride
The Editorial Board wrote an excellent editorial (“The Meaning of Juneteenth,” June 19).
I have been a reader of The Post and its editorials for many years, and this one is particularly timely and well-written.
As you quoted Frederick Douglass’ significant words, our nation “has to do with the past only as we can make it useful to the present and future.”
He also stated, “To all inspiring motives, to noble deeds which can be gained from the past, we are welcome. But now is the time, the important time.”
Now is the time.
Let us embrace these words, this important day and cause, and strive until we achieve “the full blessings of liberty for all Americans.”
While we must work to move past the stain of our history, we must not allow those who aim to divide us to succeed.

Phony cheap fakes
The media elites’ efforts to protect President Biden are unbelievable (“ ‘Cheap Fake’ Gaslighting,” Editorial, June 19).
Labeling videos of Biden struggling to function coherently as “cheap fakes” propagated by the right wing is absurd but not surprising.
It is disheartening to see the elites in this country look down on their fellow citizens with such condescension.

Knicks decision
OG Anunoby and Isaiah Hartenstein have a decision to make (“The teams that could give the Knicks the biggest headaches in free agency,” June 20).
They can either accept the money offered by the Knicks, allowing the team to sign another player to potentially beat the Celtics and Nuggets, or choose to take more money elsewhere and prevent the Knicks from winning the championship.
Remember when Miami Heat’s players took less money to win the title?

Biden’s smear ads
I am shocked by the Biden campaign’s attempt to tarnish former President Donald Trump with criminal accusations (“Biden campaign launches $50M ad blitz targeting ‘convicted criminal’ Trump,” June 17).
This effort is a distraction from President Biden’s own failures and weaknesses.
The conviction of Trump is unjust.
Biden’s actions are aimed at diverting attention and show how low he will go to hold onto power.
