Daniel Penny Acquitted: Time to Dismiss DA Alvin Bragg

In a significant turning point for common sense, a Manhattan jury on Monday cleared Daniel Penny of all charges related to the May 2023 death of Jordan Neely, countering the city’s soft-on-crime approach.

New Yorkers, celebrate: This city still has hope.

The “progressive” narrative labeling Penny as a nefarious vigilante has been dismissed by a jury of his peers, recognizing him as a hero who acted to protect his fellow passengers from a threatening individual.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s attempt to prosecute Penny has failed miserably — and he may, should, face serious political repercussions for his actions.

Kudos to the jurors, particularly those who initially leaned towards a “guilty” verdict on the more severe manslaughter charge — which the judge and prosecution shockingly dropped on Friday to avoid a mistrial — but ultimately reached a “not guilty” agreement in light of this clear infringement on the defendant’s rights.

This was the rightful resolution of a Kafkaesque nightmare: Penny should never have been prosecuted in the first place.

Yet Bragg proceeded, bowing to his extreme left, race-focused supporters.

During the trial, Bragg’s team relentlessly played the race card, frequently referring to Penny as “the white man” while suggesting racist intentions behind his actions, despite consistent testimonies affirming the entire train’s fear of Neely’s conduct.

The jury’s acquittal of Penny serves as a firm rejection of Bragg’s progressive, pro-crime agenda, which has transformed Gotham into a haven for repeat offenders and an open-air asylum for the mentally ill.

The communities most affected by this chaos are those low-income, minority New Yorkers that progressives claim to support.

Governor Hochul should take notice of this crime situation and act to remove Bragg from his position.

If she’s too afraid to act, then voters should ensure his removal in the upcoming election — and oust her in 2026.

Unfortunately, Penny’s struggles aren’t finished: Neely’s father, backed by ideologues, is pursuing a civil lawsuit regarding the death of the son he long neglected.

We hope the courts dismiss this frivolous lawsuit swiftly, allowing Daniel Penny to finally move forward.

Meanwhile, we must all strive to liberate this city and state from Alvin Bragg and every other elected official who subscribes to his misguided ideology.
