Democrats’ refusal to acknowledge Biden’s cognitive decline is heartless
It’s time for Democrats (and their media enablers) to acknowledge President Biden’s cognitive decline.
Following a report by The Post about Biden straying from the group of G-7 leaders during a parachuting demonstration, the White House went into denial mode; Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates dismissed it as “fake news,” insisting that the president was simply congratulating a diver and giving a thumbs up.
However, Biden’s actions went against the group’s instructions to stay together, a directive that every other world leader seemed to remember except him.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak explained, “He went to go and shake all their hands because they had all landed. And he was being very polite, but we were meant to stand in one place rather than go and say hello individually.”
While going off-script isn’t usually a problem, what stood out was the puzzled reaction of his peers as they tried to close the gap with him until Italy’s Giorgia Meloni guided him back to the group.
The response from Biden’s media allies and fact-checkers seems desperate to disprove the president’s evident decline just months before an election.
However, both sides must ask themselves: Is this the leader Americans want representing them on the global stage?
Is this the person who should be making critical decisions that impact not only the nation but the world?
This incident wasn’t the only one at the summit: G7 sources reported to The Sun that Biden was “losing focus” and was “the worst he’s ever been.”
While this could be attributed to a taxing travel schedule, with the president flying to Normandy, back home, and then to the summit, blame can also be placed on his 81-year-old jet-lagged brain.
His unfocused, disoriented, and forgetful behavior is becoming the norm, causing concern among his staff and Democrats in DC. Some have noted that he speaks so softly at times that he can’t be understood, relies heavily on notes and aides, and even appears to fall asleep during meetings.
Public instances of confusion, like mixing up names and past events, are becoming more frequent.
How long can Democrats continue to deny what is evident to the public?
With his staff seemingly reluctant to acknowledge the president’s declining cognitive abilities, it’s becoming increasingly cruel to push the narrative that he could manage four more years in such a demanding role.
When will this charade come to an end?
