Google shows favoritism towards Democrats leading up to 2024 election
During the period when Congressional Republicans were criticizing Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey for censoring conservative voices on their platforms, Google’s executives were quietly confident in their censorship tactics.
However, organizations like the Media Research Center revealed that Google plays a crucial role in driving the left’s agenda, particularly in influencing election outcomes.
Studies conducted by the MRC showed that in the last presidential election, Google influenced millions of votes in favor of Joe Biden.
Over a 12-month period, MRC consistently found that Google suppressed Republican campaign websites, favoring their Democrat counterparts.
For instance, in searches for presidential campaign websites, Biden’s site would consistently rank higher than any Republican candidate’s.
On the other hand, when searching for Republican campaign sites, Google would often only display sites for lesser-known candidates with minimal polling support.
Major candidates like Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis were noticeably absent from search results.
As Google’s bias became more apparent, the company began altering its tactics.
Recent studies show that Google is now displaying Trump’s website, although still lower in rankings compared to Harris’ website.
However, users must navigate through numerous negative news articles about Trump before reaching either candidate’s website.
These articles often focus on Trump’s controversies, while portraying Harris in a more positive light.
Congressional Republicans and state Attorneys General have raised concerns about Google’s biased practices, suggesting that it may violate election laws.
They argue that Google’s actions, whether coordinated with the Harris campaign or not, should be disclosed to the Federal Election Commission.
Congress is urged to investigate Google’s potential violations of election laws.
