Hamas and ‘pro-Palestine’ protesters join forces to advocate for the destruction of Israel

During Israel’s ongoing effort to eradicate Hamas, the motives of various parties involved are becoming increasingly clear. The terrorists aimed to spark conflict and disrupt the potential for peace in the Middle East with their attacks on October 7. Additionally, “pro-Palestinian” protestors in the West are advocating for the elimination of Israel.

From the beginning, Hamas’s intentions were evident. Even The New York Times recognized this, stating in a report last week that “in the bloody arithmetic of Hamas’s leaders, the carnage is not the regrettable outcome of a big miscalculation. Quite the opposite, they say: It is the necessary cost of a great accomplishment — the shattering of the status quo and the opening of a new, more volatile chapter in their fight against Israel.”

It is clear that Hamas’ goal was to incite a prolonged conflict and eliminate any potential for coexistence between Israel, Gaza, and the surrounding countries. The Washington Post now reports that “Hamas envisioned deeper attack in Israel on Oct. 7,” intending to compel an overwhelming Israeli response.

The Trump-era Abraham Accords had set the stage for diplomacy, leading Jerusalem to form alliances with Arab nations. This included the potential for normalization of relations with Saudi Arabia, creating a unified front against Iran and paving the way for a two-state solution for Palestinians. However, Hamas and Iran sought to sabotage these efforts by forcing Israel into Gaza to eradicate their fighters and incite anti-Israel sentiment across the Arab world.

These tactics have resulted in significant “pro-Palestine” rallies in the West, such as the large demonstration in London and gatherings in other cities, where calls for the destruction of Israel were prominent. These protests are not only about the current situation in Gaza but are also aimed at challenging the existence of Israel.

By inciting violence and promoting anti-Israel sentiment, Hamas has derailed the progress towards peace in the region. The rallies around the world reflect the deep divisions and the opposition to the existence of Israel.

These events have highlighted the significant challenges and barriers to peace in the Middle East.
