Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar Meets his Demise in Gaza amidst Devastation

Recently, the notorious Hamas mastermind Yahya Sinwar was discovered and killed in a building in Tel Sultan, Rafah, located in the southern region of Gaza.

This area had been designated by Vice President Kamala Harris as off-limits for the Israel Defense Forces, but thankfully, they ignored her advice. It was in this area that they finally uncovered Sinwar’s whereabouts after destroying his tunnel system and engaging in house-to-house combat in Gaza for a year until his capture.

The New York Post was granted exclusive foreign media access to the site where Sinwar met his demise, located along the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip bordering Egypt. This area had been utilized by Hamas for smuggling weapons and supplies for years.

Upon reaching Rafah through the Philadelphi corridor, we witnessed the extensive destruction caused by intense fighting, with buildings in ruins and marked by war damage. Many structures had been booby-trapped by Hamas, forcing civilians to evacuate the area per IDF warnings.

After traversing the devastated landscape for less than an hour, we arrived at Tel Sultan, where Sinwar’s violent reign came to an end. His underground complex was uncovered, revealing the luxury lifestyle he had maintained while withholding basic necessities from the people of Gaza.

Sinwar attempted to evade capture as the IDF closed in on his hideout, ultimately meeting his demise due to a gunshot wound to the head. His final moments were spent in a room surrounded by rubble and destruction, reflecting the consequences of the war he had initiated.
