Harris Fails to Deliver on Promises as Biden Administration Faces Setbacks
He aspired to be like FDR, but often resembled Jimmy Carter more closely.
Regardless of Donald Trump’s victory on Tuesday, the Democrats’ defeat was well-earned.
Nearly four years ago, Joe Biden became president-elect of the United States by promising a return to normalcy.
After the tumultuous Trump era, Biden’s moderate demeanor had its appeal.
As a familiar figure in politics, he presented his policies in a relatively agreeable manner.
Voters believed him when he declared he would govern from the center and bring the nation together.
However, he ultimately betrayed their trust.
Surrounded by misguided advisors, Biden governed as a president of a far-left club rather than a diverse country seeking unity.
His actions against unvaccinated individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic and his border policies caused harm while alienating voters from both sides.
He aligned himself with radical social experimenters and dismissed their critics as bigoted.
He initially downplayed the impact of inflation before conceding to address it with reckless spending bills.
Despite his foreign policy experience, Biden’s decisions as commander-in-chief led to embarrassment and loss of American lives in Afghanistan.
Under Biden’s leadership, Russia invaded Ukraine, Iran grew more aggressive, and global chaos ensued.
His divisive rhetoric and harsh criticism of Republican politicians further exacerbated tensions.
Instead of acknowledging bipartisan efforts, Biden made inflammatory comments likening Georgia’s election-integrity law to “Jim Crow on steroids.”
His failure to deliver on his promises, combined with his selfish desire to cling to power, led to widespread disappointment in his leadership.
Ultimately, Biden’s term as president was marked by failure and disappointment.
While Kamala Harris was the official candidate on the ballot, it was Biden’s failures that voters were rejecting.
Despite Harris’s own shortcomings, she at least presented a more viable option compared to Biden’s dwindling popularity.
Her campaign may have been flawed, but Biden’s actions ultimately contributed to her defeat and the Democratic Party’s setbacks.
