Hate-professor demonstrates ineffective tactics, Rutgers president’s departure won’t make a difference
American elite universities are seeing a rise in brazen Jew-haters, like Russell Rickford, a Cornell professor with Nazi connections who openly celebrated Hamas’ killings of innocent civilians. Recently, he was seen marching alongside campus protesters chanting “Long live the intifada!”
Despite being reinstated at the school, Rickford continues to display his anti-Semitic beliefs, proving he is unfit to teach.
Rickford’s support of the Palestinian terror campaign against Jews is evident in his actions, and despite any apologies, his hate speech remains unacceptable.
Unfortunately, such hate appears to be tolerated at top universities, as seen in the case of Jonathan Holloway, the outgoing president of Rutgers who allowed pro-Hamas individuals to take over the campus.
While Holloway may be stepping down from his role, he faces no real consequences, continuing on to a cushy professor’s position after a sabbatical.
Similar leniency is shown to individuals like Claudine Gay and Liz Magill, who have faced controversy over their actions but still retain prestigious positions.
The fact that individuals with ties to genocide are given prestigious roles in academia is concerning, and the lack of real consequences shows the deep-seated issue within these institutions.
