How did the Harris campaign become so confused about gender roles?



Have Democrats become confused about gender roles?

The most recent example is Mark Cuban, a top Kamala Harris supporter, making a rude comment on “The View”: “Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever.”

It seems individuals like Tulsi Gabbard, Alina Habba, Nikki Haley, Kellyanne Conway, and Melania Trump are invisible to Cuban.

Not to mention Sarah Huckabee Sanders: It’s likely she could outwit Cuban faster than Joe Biden can insult an entire country.

Also, the female executives Trump supported during his real estate prime in the 1980s.

Leading Democrats simply assume the other side is sexist.

And they really don’t understand how the other half lives: Take the Harris campaign’s recent attempt to inform women that “your vote is a secret,” aimed at wives who they believe are coerced into voting Republican by their husbands.

(They even used Julia Roberts in an ad for this: incredibly foolish.)

While there may be a few cases of such couples, it’s the 21st century, and married women have leaned Republican mostly due to their own experiences rather than their husbands’ opinions.

This is a serious insult to the majority of married women, regardless of their voting preferences: an unintentional insult, but another example of the Democratic elite’s disconnect with the voters they need to convince — relying on inaccurate stereotypes.

This also applies to the cringeworthy ad from “Creatives for Harris” featuring actors embodying stereotypical macho men claiming to be “man enough” to vote for a woman.

Once again, Harris supporters are imagining the problem without realizing that a campaign focused on symbolic issues and anti-Trump rhetoric gives most men no reason to take her seriously.

As CNN’s Scott Jennings explained, “Many men believe Democrats prioritize individuals transitioning gender over traditional masculinity.”

Further: “No attempts to change this perception through hunting, cosplay, or cringy videos will be successful. The damage is done.”

Efforts to portray Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff and running mate Tim Walz as examples of “new masculinity” are also questionable.

(AOC’s involvement in promoting Dougie was criticized as well.)

It all began with “White Dudes for Harris,” a Hollywood-driven session so conflicted they had to use “dudes” instead of “men”: Josh Groban addressing his white, male privilege was unnecessary.

Perhaps before the next election cycle, Democrats can address their issues surrounding gender — or at least stop broadcasting them everywhere.
