I am told by some that I am a warrior

The headline on Friday’s front page of The New York Times stood out with a single word in all caps: “GUILTY.” While this word accurately described the verdict, the subsequent story was filled with sensationalism that it seemed the paper might burst into flames.

After detailing the outcome of the Manhattan trial in which Donald Trump was found guilty of illegal behavior, the article started venturing into a realm of absurdity. It implied that Trump’s unconventional actions pleased his supporters as he challenged the norms of the country, and suggested that he was already trying to undermine his conviction by asserting his political power over the rule of law.

While this narrative likely pleased those who oppose Trump, it ignored the simple facts that Trump is appealing the verdict and still intends to run for president, with a good chance of succeeding.

However, the truth rarely gets a fair shot when The New York Times is intent on spinning a narrative and promoting a political agenda.

The underlying agenda is to support the re-election of Joe Biden by portraying Trump as a force that disregards norms.

This approach amounts to fear-mongering dressed up as journalism.

While Trump can be brash and unpredictable, he pales in comparison to the Democrats, who have launched six legal assaults against him since he left office, adding to the two impeachments during his presidency.

The relentless attacks on Trump by the Democrats demonstrate a level of norm-breaking that is unprecedented in American history.

It’s a blatant disregard for norms when a sitting president uses government power to financially ruin and incarcerate his political opponents, which is exactly what Biden and the Democrats are doing.

New York, in particular, has displayed a disgraceful pattern of attempting to destroy Trump through various legal cases, all with the help of biased judges.

The failure of The New York Times to recognize this fundamental truth is deliberate as the newspaper has forsaken its journalistic standards to become a mouthpiece for a political faction.

Meanwhile, Trump, the supposed norm-breaker, remained composed and calm when I spoke to him, even after the courtroom pronouncement of “guilty” repeated 34 times.

He chuckled a few times during our conversation, sharing insights that he would later articulate in a statement at Trump Tower.

Even in criticizing the bias he perceived from Judge Juan Marchan, Trump’s demeanor was more matter-of-fact than indignant. He emphasized his innocence and the nature of the disputed legal expense that formed the basis of the case.

Trump raised concerns about the fairness of the trial and the potential erosion of the legal system if his appeals are rejected.

Despite the guilty verdict, Trump’s campaign received a significant boost, generating a record-breaking $35 million in donations within hours. This surge in support underscored the narrative that legal setbacks only strengthen his political standing.

Political Shifts

Amid the ongoing legal battles, Trump’s popularity has surged, especially in swing states where he previously held a lead within the margin of error.

The controversy surrounding his conviction has caused a substantial reshuffling in public opinion, although definitive outcomes may take time to emerge.

Trump highlighted the failings of the Biden administration, criticizing policies such as open borders, high taxes, and the inclusion of biological men in women’s sports.

He questioned the motivations behind these decisions, suggesting a deliberate effort to weaken the country.

Despite the challenges ahead, Trump remains optimistic about his prospects in the upcoming debates with Biden, expressing skepticism about the president’s performance and the potential use of performance-enhancing measures.

As we navigate through these turbulent times, Trump’s resilience and determination stand out, solidifying his image as a warrior for our era.
