If Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win, anticipate a more socially-aware but less robust military

Arguably, in the upcoming presidential election, one of the most crucial issues is the next president’s ability to avert World War III.

At the brink of this risky possibility, it is imperative to acknowledge that under the Biden administration, the US military has lost its position as the world’s most powerful.

Looking forward, things would only deteriorate under a Harris presidency.

This month, Kamala Harris selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, a man who has misrepresented details of his military history and faced criticism for his response to civil unrest in his state.

If Harris and Walz were to win, the consequences for the military would be disastrous.

Given the escalating tensions globally, we need a commander in chief who will safeguard our nation through strength and allow the military to prioritize operational readiness over the left-leaning social agenda that the Biden administration has introduced.

Despite promises that “DEI will make us stronger,” the evidence indicates otherwise.

An administration led by Harris and Walz would further weaken the Defense Department at a critical juncture in our nation’s history.

Since the beginning of the Biden-Harris administration, conflicts and active wars have erupted worldwide.

During Russia’s conflict in Ukraine, over 80,000 Ukrainians lost their lives, and the US spent more than $175 billion.

Other areas of conflict include Israel battling Hamas and Iran, China’s aggression towards Taiwan, and neighboring countries.

Under the Trump administration, Vladimir Putin was kept in check.

In a recent exchange, Putin outmaneuvered President Biden and Harris by trading Russian criminals and spies for the release of American individuals.

Moreover, the Biden-Harris administration reportedly allowed $3.8 billion to flow into Taliban-controlled Afghanistan after the botched withdrawal.

This chaotic retreat marked a humiliating episode in American military history.

Hamas’ attack on Israel also reflects a significant failure on part of the US military and intelligence agencies to anticipate and prevent such assaults on its allies, especially when American citizens are at risk.

The US military had misplaced priorities leading up to the attack, focusing more on DEI and liberal politics instead.

Under Biden-Harris, US service members dedicated extensive hours to DEI training rather than enhancing military readiness.

The declining military dominance is evident in the recruitment crisis faced by the armed forces today, wherein the military appears more focused on progressive ideologies rather than combat preparedness.

Contrast this with Trump’s tenure, where the military thwarted terrorists, introduced a new branch of service, instilled fear in enemies, and gave soldiers well-deserved pay raises.

President Biden’s assertion that global warming is the greatest threat to the nation, as well as Harris backing the Green New Deal as a solution, further illustrate misplaced priorities.

Their agenda includes making the military carbon-neutral by 2050, which aligns with Walz’s efforts in Minnesota to mandate fossil-free electricity by 2040.

Harris-Walz administration might reduce military training missions, limit ship activities, and transition to electric military vehicles in the name of climate activism, at the expense of military readiness.

Their stance on LGBTQIA+ issues also mirrors the military’s focus on such matters under Biden, including initiatives like drag-queen story hours on bases and hiring drag queens as recruitment ambassadors.

As Marine Gen. George Smith Jr. remarked, the impact on our safety remains uncertain with such decisions catering to far-left activists.

It is crucial to have a strong military leader to avert the rising threat of WWIII, as the rest of the president’s responsibilities may pale in comparison under such circumstances.
