The preliminary agreement for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas underscores that Donald Trump is proving to be a more impactful leader out of office than Joe Biden ever was during his tenure.

Moreover, Hamas was seemingly compelled to engage in negotiations due to Trump’s warnings that “all hell will break out” if the hostages are not freed before he assumes office.
This also reflects his assertive approach towards Iran and other adversaries of the United States.
As Vice President-elect JD Vance remarked, “Regardless of when that deal is finalized, it will occur because people fear the repercussions for Hamas.”
Let’s not overlook another crucial aspect.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu probably has greater confidence in the upcoming Trump administration than he ever had in the Biden administration — a vital factor in any efforts to de-escalate violence.
In essence, a firm stance against ruthless terrorists, rather than trying to placate them, yields tangible outcomes.
Trump never shied away from confronting U.S. adversaries.
Recall the dire predictions surrounding his justified decision to eliminate Iran’s chief architect of terror, Qassem Soleimani?
No such prophecies materialized; instead, Tehran capitulated.
Then came Biden, who signaled he would lean towards the Obama “Make Iran Great Again” approach.
The result? Iran intensified its pursuit of regional dominance, culminating in Hamas’ terror attack on Israel on October 7.
Maintaining a strong alliance with true partners like Israel proves to be incredibly effective.
