Joe Biden Accuses Trump of Being a Convicted Felon in Recent Speech

The Issue: President Biden’s comment at a fundraiser referring to Donald Trump as a convicted felon.

The liar President Biden, who made these remarks against Trump, is above the law (“Biden says ‘convicted felon’ Trump is running because he’s ‘worried about preserving his freedoms,’”, June 3).

Every word coming out of his mouth is a lie and a projection. The sham trial conducted against Trump was rigged by a completely politically weaponized and motivated prosecutor and judge.

President Biden called former President Donald Trump a convicted felon.

While I’m not a big fan of either of them, Biden is technically correct when you think about it. Trump is, with all things considered, a convicted felon — convicted on 34 felony charges stemming from his hush-money trial.

I would argue that it’s largely Trump’s legal team’s fault that he lost his trial. And ultimately, it’s Trump’s fault alone, as he gave hush money to an adult film star in the first place.

And even if the trial was rigged, Trump would still be a felon, regardless of politics.

Democratic politicians have called Trump a dictator and a threat to our democracy. And now, because of this biased trial in New York, President Biden called him a convicted felon.

But anyone with common sense and a functional brain can see that Biden weaponized our justice system to go after his opponent for the presidency.

Although I am uncertain if Trump will win my vote in November, it is still difficult to comprehend why double standards apply to him.

Some people urge that nonviolent felons, who satisfy all judicial demands required of them, participate in the democratic process by voting, running for office or getting a job.

So why shouldn’t this thinking apply to Trump?

The Issue: Criticism of former COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci during a congressional hearing.

Watching Dr. Anthony Fauci arrogantly lie about his role in funding Wuhan COVID lab research was disgusting (“Dr. Fauci ‘hypocritic’ oaf,” June 4).

Equally disgusting were his lies about the devastating effects of vaccine and mask mandates, school and business closures and social distancing. Hundreds of thousands of people needlessly died alone because of his decisions.

Fauci needs to be held accountable for his actions.

When is a responsible Republican politician going to ask Sen. Marjorie Taylor Greene, “Have you no shame?”

Dr. Fauci will be remembered for his contributions to medicine. As for Greene, a woman of dubious intelligence, nobody will either remember her or care.

Telling Fauci that he is not a doctor should have brought a rebuke from every committee member. Or perhaps Greene still ascribes to the cure-all proffered by her hero, former President Donald Trump: to be injected with disinfectant.

Americans have become increasingly divided due to people like Greene who can’t keep a civil tongue in their heads. Ad hominem attacks are always a display of weakness in the attacker’s credibility, of which Greene has none.
