Joe Bident and Kamala Harris should issue a formal apology for worsening international threats
If President Biden had any decency, he should use his United Nations speech on Tuesday to apologize and say “I’m sorry.”
Kamala Harris should also express the same sentiment.
Obama’s former Defense Secretary, Robert Gates, accurately warned that Biden has been consistently wrong on major foreign policy and national security matters for the past forty years.
Over the last four years, Joe and Kamala have continued this trend, leading the world into a period of significant threats.
The disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan was a major misstep, going against the advice of military experts and the plan left by the Trump administration. This withdrawal allowed the Taliban to seize control, humiliating America and capturing abandoned military equipment worth billions.
Furthermore, it sent a message that the US cannot be relied upon as an ally, and that aggressors could act with impunity.
Harris proudly claims that she was the final decision maker in the room, supporting Biden in that fatal choice.
Subsequent events have only worsened:
- Russia saw an opportunity to invade Ukraine after Biden downplayed the potential invasion as a “minor incursion.” The US then delayed aid and limited Kyiv’s access to American weapons.
- Iran accelerated its pursuit of nuclear weapons, as the Biden-Harris administration eased sanctions and provided billions of dollars to the regime.
- This funding enabled Iran to support terrorist groups and be involved in conflicts like the Gaza war.
Iran also supported the Houthis in blocking the Red Sea and Hezbollah in attacking Israel.
- China has become more aggressive, harassing neighboring countries, militarizing islands, and asserting control over shipping routes.
China is also adamant about reclaiming Taiwan by any means necessary.
- In a misguided attempt to combat US oil consumption and support a fair election outcome in Venezuela, the administration lifted oil sanctions only to have the election stolen.
- The lax immigration policies under Biden and Harris have led to an influx of migrants, straining resources and creating new security threats.
- A disturbing trend is the alliance forming among Iran, China, Russia, and North Korea against the West, while the US military focus shifts away from traditional enemies to social issues.
The world is now on the brink of potential conflicts in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and East Asia.
President Obama reportedly warned of Biden’s tendency to make mistakes, a warning that unfortunately came true in the 2020 election with consequences for the global community.
