Kamala gaslights on energy, Eric Adams changes tune on migrants — and more

This claim:

We say: In a way, Goldman’s right: When it comes to DOJ’s Biden-corruption probe, there’s no “independence” at all, and AG Merrick Garland’s decision to tap US Attorney David Weiss as special counsel reflects that — because there was no “independence” in that, either.
Weiss already proved he’ll work to shield the prez from scrutiny, so Garland felt he could trust him.
If the AG were truly interested in an independent probe, he would’ve picked someone who doesn’t work for him.
Spot the difference:

We say: What a shift in tone! Before Adams took responsibility for the 100,000 migrants that have overwhelmed Gotham, he was only too happy to welcome all who wanted to come.
Now that he must house them and find billions to fund their costs, he’s singing a different tune.
Give him some credit, though: His change of heart is more than can be said about the guy in the White Housewho caused the nightmare in the first place.
This challenge:

We say: Oops! Yes, the prez was right to praise America’s “can-do” spirit, but did he have to ask that particular question just as the nation was marking the second anniversary of his botched Afghan bugout — when the Taliban took over, 13 US servicemen were killed and America was humiliated on the world stage?
Surely that couldn’t have been the “objective.”
This boast:
“One of our highest priorities then was to lower energy costs.”

We say: “Lower” costs? Please.
The Biden-Harris climate agenda is geared to raise costs, on the (ludicrous) theory that it’s worth it to save the planet.
And it has raised them: Per the Heartland Institute, the average US household has paid $2,300 more for energy since Biden took office.
Trouble is, the planet’s not remotely at risk — and those policies wouldn’t save it even if it were.
