Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s Price Control Scheme Blames Others for Rising Grocery Costs

This is the latest proposal from Kamala Harris, unveiled in her recent speech on the economy — the implementation of socialist price controls on groceries.
Amid the soaring grocery prices that ordinary Americans have experienced during her time in office, it’s suggested these are a result of her boss’s detrimental economic policies.
According to her, these high prices are attributed to greedy corporations trying to limit customer purchases.
The facts contradict Harris’ claims, as producer prices have risen in parallel with consumer prices, indicating that businesses are passing on increased costs to consumers.
This perpetuates the cycle of inflation.
The reception of Harris’ misleading “first 100 days” plan should be one of disbelief.
Even The New York Times, typically in support of the Biden administration, recognizes the complexity of the situation, acknowledging that Harris might not have the complete picture.
“Complicated” in this context translates to “a Democratic error.”
The reason behind the high prices is not intricate at all.
They exist due to the massive stimulus injections into the US economy post-COVID, such as the Inflation Reduction Act, the American Rescue Plan, and student loan relief.
This rapid increase in spending has led to a 26% inflation in grocery prices since the Biden-Harris administration took charge.
Gasoline prices have also surged, among other economic challenges.
Implementing price controls will only exacerbate the economic hardship, as rightly pointed out by Harris’ political opponent Donald Trump, who calls it a “Maduro plan” (after the Venezuelan dictator).
Equally flawed is Harris’ proposal to provide up to $25,000 in “down-payment support” to first-time homebuyers, which essentially benefits current homeowners looking to sell and fuels housing inflation further.
In essence, Harris’ solution to economic woes involves more government spending, which worsens the existing issues along with the addition of price controls.
It appears that Bernie Sanders’ influence is prevailing within the party, ultimately leading to detrimental consequences for the average American.
In essence, Kamala Harris threatens to further burden ordinary citizens beyond what her superior Joe did.
