Kamala Harris fails to show true support for Israel

Israel needs to act swiftly in Gaza before turning their attention to Hezbollah, as there is a possibility that Kamala Harris will become president in January.

If that happens, she will be coming after Israel.

In her first major statement as the presumptive Democratic nominee, Harris stated that Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorism.

However, this is a basic right that all nations possess, so it does not indicate explicit support. In her statement, Harris emphasized that the methods Israel uses to defend itself matter to her, and she expressed anger towards their actions.

She is particularly concerned about the suffering of civilians, but neglects to address Hamas’s responsibility for the crisis in Gaza.

Hamas initiated the conflict, using innocent civilians as cover and resources for their own benefit. Despite initial peaceful relations, Hamas orchestrated a violent war against Israel.

Harris has criticized Israel for the death toll and food insecurity in Gaza, overlooking the assistance that Israel provides in terms of food aid. She believes it is Israel’s responsibility to end the conflict and has shown support for those calling for a ceasefire.

Her biased stance against Israel and her desire for a swift resolution to the conflict may hinder true peace efforts in the region.
