Kamala Harris spent $1.5B, including payments to interviewers
Kamala Harris’s failed presidential campaign cost $1.5 billion, with an average spending of $100 million per week, highlighting her poor financial management skills alongside a lack of coherent policy ideas.
Key expenses included:
- $900,000 for advertising at the Las Vegas Sphere, despite losing Nevada.
- $1 million to Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions for a townhall event with her.
- $10 million for conferences with figures like Jon Bon Jovi, although she lost Gen X.
- $494 million on advertising overall.
Desperate to appear influential, Harris paid celebrities for appearances, including $500,000 to Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network and $350,000 to Roland Martin’s Nu Vision Media.
The Washington Free Beacon uncovered the payments to Sharpton, with additional details from a New York Times report on Harris’s campaign failure.
America was fortunate that Kamala Harris’s flaws were not thoroughly vetted before her political rise, preventing her from posing a serious threat to Trump.
Harris’s campaign was essentially hollow and inauthentic, as demonstrated by her lavish spending on influencers for credibility and support. Her “Joy” slogan was seen as manufactured and insincere, contrasting sharply with Trump’s energetic and unscripted approach.
Despite major media backing, Harris lacked the necessary qualities for success, both in personal appeal and policy substance.
While money is crucial in campaigns, it cannot compensate for a lack of genuine message and a candidate with no credibility. This lesson may lead Democratic donors to think twice before supporting a party that misuses funds so recklessly.
