Kamala Harris’s inconsistent track record with left-wing positions since 2019

Kamala Harris delivered her first impromptu remarks since becoming the next in line for the presidency. She and Joe Biden were waiting to greet four American hostages released from Russia at Joint Base Andrews when a reporter managed to ask a question.

Despite her usual inaccessibility, Harris answered in her typical convoluted manner, speaking about the importance of diplomacy and the strength it holds.

This moment quickly went viral, adding to the many public statements she has made over the past four years that are seen as nonsensical.

It is no surprise that her team avoids letting her speak without a teleprompter.

While Biden may have age-related cognitive issues as an excuse for his verbal missteps, what is Harris’s reason? Either she lacks intelligence or she is concealing something.

Tough talk, but . . .

It is clear that Harris is insincere, choosing to protect her true beliefs rather than articulate them. This approach has resulted in her statements being verbose and unclear, filled with hand-waving gestures.

Her ability to speak clearly has not diminished in the past four years unless she has suffered a secret traumatic brain injury. While running for president in 2019, she was direct and straightforward in her positions on fracking, the filibuster, immigration, police funding, and gun control.

However, since the downfall of her 2020 campaign, she has learned to remain silent to avoid being pinned down on her previous hard left stances.

When forced to speak publicly, it is often confusing as her true beliefs are considered damaging in a general election.

Her recent statements attempting to portray her as tough on crime and national security contradict her previous stances on defunding the police, border security, and other issues.

International relations

With Biden stepping back and Harris taking charge, she is just as accountable for recent controversial events, such as pleading deals for terrorists and releasing illegal migrants on bail.

Her statements on Israel’s defense against threats, along with past actions, show a weak stance on crime and national security.

If she were to become president, the US’s standing with foreign leaders could suffer further based on her recent interactions and decisions.

Janet Yellen, the Treasury Secretary, has also shown partisan leanings, going against the Hatch Act which prohibits federal officials from engaging in political activities using government resources.
