Letters from Donald Trump’s Historic Re-Election Bronx Rally

The topic of discussion: Former President Donald Trump’s groundbreaking 2024 presidential campaign rally in The Bronx.

Almost 10,000 New Yorkers, if not more, attended former President Donald Trump’s rally in the Bronx last Thursday (“Boogie Don in Da Bx.,” May 24).

They enthusiastically expressed their support for Trump’s promise to replicate his achievements if re-elected as president. Many in the crowd indicated their discontent with the current left-leaning and Democrat-led governance at local, state, and national levels.

They desire a proven leader to steer the nation’s future in the right direction.

As my aunt commended her son on his graduation from college, I extend the same acknowledgment to Trump: You’ve done an admirable job.

His efforts to connect with individuals grappling with challenges like inflation and crime are deeply valued. Trump’s straightforward approach, different from the conventional political rhetoric, resonates with the American public.

He is an eloquent speaker and a true representative of the American populace. Trump’s work is dedicated to their well-being and the overall betterment of the country.

I was taken aback by The Post’s front page on Friday.

Trump organized a rally in The Bronx, a traditionally Democratic stronghold. Yet, many attendees turned up to show their support and cheer him on.

I see value in Trump’s vision for enhancing New York and restoring the nation’s greatness. His display of genuine courage and determination is commendable.

The excitement at Trump’s rally in the “Boogie Down” Bronx was overwhelming.

Meanwhile, President Biden seemed to be napping, potentially well into the afternoon.

Contrary to Democratic assumptions, Hispanic and Black communities in The Bronx don’t universally align with the Democratic Party.
They aspire for more than a life of welfare for their children. They seek accountability for criminals and maintain boundaries in their children’s spaces.

The topic of discussion: New York’s annual Fleet Week welcoming US Navy ships and personnel at Pier 88 in Manhattan.

As Fleet Week 2024 unfolds, New York will greet 11 different Navy ships (“Hey there, sailor,,” May 23).

These sailors, pilots, and other service members deserve a warm reception from the people of our city. We owe them all a debt of gratitude for their dedicated and unwavering service to our country.

May God bless them as they continue to serve our nation.

I suggest that the Navy reconsider hosting Fleet Week in New York.

In 1993, former New York Mayor David Dinkins, the City Council, various New York officials, and several newspapers advocated for the closure of the then-new Naval Station New York on Staten Island. They succeeded, and it was shut down in 1994.

Despite this, the Navy continued to organize Fleet Weeks in New York. However, Fleet Weeks should be held in communities where the residents have historically shown respect and support for our country’s Navy, evident through the politicians they elect.

At Fleet Week in New York, the Navy appears as if it’s seeking approval from a populace that previously didn’t value its presence.
