Letters: MTA’s Outrageous Overtime Pay and More
Excessively Greedy
The MTA’s outrageous labor costs aren’t just due to overtime. The retirement age of 55 should be raised to 68 and retirees and employees should contribute to healthcare costs. Private-sector employees, who will be paying the congestion tax to fund these excesses, do not receive similar benefits.
Municipal unions control politicians through campaign contributions, pushing costs onto working-family taxpayers. The politicians serve a small segment of municipal unions, not all laborers, as seen in the congestion tax.

Rudy’s Disappointment
The suspension of Rudy Giuliani’s WABC show is another example of the silence imposed on Trump allies. Owner John Catsimatidis risks losing credibility as a supporter of conservative voices if he fires Rudy, who just wanted more airtime and deserved it.
Catsimatidis should realize that other media pundits earn millions bashing Trump without consequences. Rudy’s perspective is valuable, especially during Trump’s legal battles.

Costly Lunch
There is no such thing as a free lunch. Someone always pays for “free” refills, which are often abused. Dine-in patrons filling large containers multiple times take advantage of the policy.

Class Day Offer
If Harvard struggles to find a speaker for the annual Class Day event, I volunteer myself. I have not been involved in human-rights activities for over 50 years and my brain has not been influenced by parasitic worms.

Silent Candidate
A presidential candidate devoted to the left’s climate agenda should speak about it. We need to know what RFK Jr. would do if elected president to make an informed decision.
