Mark Zuckerberg issues an apology for censoring content
The Issue: Mark Zuckerberg’s admission of bowing to pressure from the Biden administration to censor Meta users.
It’s a positive step to see Mark Zuckerberg acknowledge that he was being manipulated by the left (“Zuck Comes Clean,” Editorial, Aug. 28).
He has confirmed what many of us suspected for a long time.
The Democrats and the Biden administration pushed Meta to use its extensive social media influence to deceive the American people on issues ranging from COVID to the 2020 presidential election.
This manipulation contributed to a period of Democratic overreach and incompetence that damaged our economy, compromised our border, and weakened national security.
Mark Zuckerberg is an intelligent individual.
Let’s hope he continues to see through the false narratives the Democrats have been promoting for years.
Even if it means being excluded from the “cool” circle of American elites.

A well-informed public is vital for democracy, yet it is evident that the Biden-Harris government deliberately spread misinformation to prevent the public from knowing the truth.
This is disgraceful.
One example of this assault on the First Amendment was the censorship of this newspaper for reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop story.
This suppression harmed our country.
All those involved in stifling free speech must be held accountable and face consequences, without exceptions.

Zuckerberg has confessed that his platform was pressured by the government to suppress news articles, including The Post’s coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
How is this not considered election interference?
Zuckerberg should be summoned to testify before Congress under oath.
Not only did he attempt to sway an election, but he also prevented Americans from accessing crucial information about COVID from reputable medical professionals.

The owner of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, has publicly revealed that the Justice Department exerted pressure on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and other social media companies to suppress accurate information about COVID — as well as coverage of Hunter Biden’s laptop, including censoring content from the New York Post.
This was a blatant abuse of federal power to influence an election in favor of the Democrats.
Do not be deceived by Zuckerberg’s sudden remorse.
Everything he does is calculated to advance his own agenda.

Isn’t it ironic?
I am constantly bombarded with rhetoric demonizing former President Donald Trump as a “dictator,” “extremist,” and “enemy of democracy.”
Yet, Trump peacefully resolves conflicts with his opponents and extends bipartisan gestures by sharing his platform with Robert Kennedy Jr., while the Democratic Party manipulates media outlets to suppress negative news, as evidenced by Zuckerberg’s admission of government interference with Facebook, or attempts to block political opponents from appearing on the ballot, as seen with efforts to exclude the Cornel West and Jill Stein campaigns in multiple states.
For supposed “saviors of the republic,” the Democrats’ actions are very perplexing.

This apology indicates a victory for Trump in November (“Don’s book rips Marky malarkey,” Aug. 29).
Zuckerberg is admitting to censorship because he is likely observing the number of Facebook users who support Trump.
As a savvy politician, Zuckerberg will want Meta to be positioned favorably after the election — and potentially avoid repercussions for the reckless behavior he and his company engaged in.
