Miranda Devine: Trump Expected to Issue ‘Full Pardon’ to Hunter Biden Whistleblower Devon Archer, Declares ‘He Was Screwed’

Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s embattled former business partner, is set to receive a complete and unconditional pardon, as disclosed by President Trump in an exclusive interview with The New York Post.

During a meeting at the NCAA wrestling championships in Philadelphia on Saturday night, Trump assured Archer of the pardon through an arrangement made by Tony Bobulinski, another former associate of Hunter Biden turned whistleblower.

“He’s getting a full pardon,” Trump stated on Sunday. “He was wronged by the Bidens, who tried to ruin him, much like they have many others.”

Reiterating the pledge, Trump characterized Archer as an “anti-Biden individual” due to his significant role in bringing to light the corruption associated with the Bidens.

This act of presidential clemency will bring an end to a decade-long struggle for Archer, who was facing potential prison time due to a securities fraud case stemming from a problematic deal with Hunter Biden in 2015.

‘Politically exposed’

“I extend my deepest gratitude to President Trump,” Archer expressed on Sunday. “I appreciate the president’s recognition that I was a target of a convoluted legal assault aimed at destroying and silencing me.”

“Like many others, my life was shattered by the Biden family’s egocentric disregard for the truth and the well-being of others. The Bidens profess to care about justice, yet their actions speak otherwise,” he added. “I am thankful that the American people are now aware of this truth.”

The investigation conducted by the Southern District of New York initially targeted Hunter, the son of Joe Biden, who was vice president at the time. Hunter was identified as a “politically exposed person” in suspicious activity reports generated by a risk assessor from Morgan Stanley.

In a scheme related to a $60 million tribal bonds fraud, Hunter Biden received $200,000 as vice chairman of the involved financial services firm, while Archer claims he suffered significant financial losses when the company went under. Ultimately, Hunter faced no legal repercussions or even the necessity to testify, while Archer was convicted of fraud in 2018.

Since then, Archer has experienced a tumultuous legal journey, characterizing himself as a victim of an “Obama-Biden legal system” that safeguarded Hunter.

Initially, District Court Judge Ronnie Abrams overturned Archer’s jury conviction in 2018, asserting his innocence due to a lack of evidence that he was aware of or benefited from the fraud.

However, two years later, Archer’s conviction was restored on appeal. He received a one-year prison sentence and was mandated to pay nearly $60 million in fines and restitution, only for the sentence to later be annulled due to a procedural error, leading to a resentencing scheduled for later this year.

This legal saga has significantly impacted Archer, 51, his wife Krista, and their three children.

“I want to express my heartfelt thanks to my wife for holding our family together during these challenging times,” Archer remarked. “I never intended for my family to endure this hardship, but I now have the chance to focus completely on my family, friends, and professional life.”

Archer’s name appears numerous times in Hunter’s infamous “laptop from hell,” yet he is absent from the narratives of Hunter’s substance abuse and sexual escapades that largely remained concealed from his business associates.

Hunter once referred to Archer as his “best business friend,” with Joe Biden frequently thanking Archer for looking out for his wayward son.

However, as soon as Archer became a liability, the Biden family distanced themselves from him.

Archer emerged as one of the initial whistleblowers during the House impeachment inquiry regarding Joe Biden’s involvement in Hunter’s influence-peddling activities.

He disclosed that he had overheard Hunter connecting his father on speakerphone with foreign business contacts at least two dozen times.

Additionally, he testified that just days before Joe’s trip to Ukraine to demand the dismissal of the prosecutor investigating Burisma, Hunter’s Ukrainian business associates urgently requested him to get his father on the line.

Archer’s bravery in testifying amid immense legal pressure was vital in uncovering Biden’s corruption.

Tit for tat pardons

In December, Joe Biden granted his son a full presidential pardon, mere weeks before his departure from office, despite his previous pledges against such an act.

This pardon encompasses any offenses Hunter may have committed over the past eleven years, covering all aspects of his dealings in Ukraine.

It’s quite fitting that President Trump, who has also faced legal battles orchestrated by the Biden administration, has provided justice for Archer.

Tony Bobulinski, recognized as another whistleblower exposing Biden corruption, alerted the FBI prior to the 2020 election regarding the national security threat posed by Hunter and his uncle Jim Biden’s dealings with questionable characters linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

Bobulinski testified during the impeachment inquiry that Joe directly interacted with his son and brother in their influence-peddling schemes and was referred to as “the Big Guy” by Hunter’s partners.

This past year, Bobulinski and Archer bonded over their shared disdain for the Bidens and campaigned collaboratively for Trump in Pennsylvania, a crucial state in Trump’s electoral victory and the site of an assassination attempt against him.

Bobulinski also enlisted the champion Penn State wrestling team, where he was a former captain, as a crucial asset for Trump.

During the NCAA wrestling finals in Philadelphia, a stronghold for “Scranton Joe” Biden, Trump received a rousing welcome. Bobulinski, a wrestling legend from Penn State, took the opportunity to advocate for his friend Archer.

In a remarkable twist, IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley was present in the stands alongside Archer. Shapley’s revelations about the Department of Justice obstructing his five-year investigation into Hunter’s taxes disrupted the lenient deal prosecutors had designed for him.

Following two years of retaliation by his superiors, Shapley was promoted by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to become deputy chief of IRS criminal investigations, taking on the role of a special advisor to spearhead reforms within the tax agency alongside fellow whistleblower Joe Ziegler.

After Penn State secured its fourth consecutive team title on Saturday, Trump asked Bobulinski to bring Archer over, where he informed him of the pardon decision.
