Netanyahu’s assertions validated by flag-burning, terrorist-supporting anti-Israel demonstrators.
During a visit to the US Congress in Washington, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a powerful address to the joint session.
His speech was met with a strong opposition, but none matched the forcefulness with which he presented his case.
As I waited to enter the highly secured Capitol, I spoke with two courteous police officers.
Protests from various anti-Israel groups marched past, masking their faces with COVID masks and hurling derogatory and profane insults at the police officers.
Inside Congress, Netanyahu highlighted the moral inversion in America, particularly since the attacks on Oct. 7. He emphasized the need for distinguishing between those who target terrorists and those who target civilians.
He also called out Iran’s funding of anti-Israel protests in America, contributing to the coordinated and organized surge in radical anti-Israel activities.
Amid his address, prominent Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi, denounced Netanyahu’s words and came under scrutiny for their response to the protests.
In the streets of Washington, protestors exhibited violent and hateful behavior, burning American flags and desecrating historical monuments.
While Netanyahu’s speech was significant, it was the actions of the protestors outside that truly underscored his message.
