No one deserves more blame for Dems $1B electoral collapse than the finished Nancy Pelosi.
There is an urgent need to debunk the perception of Nancy Pelosi as a master strategist. The blame for the Democrats’ $1 billion electoral collapse rests primarily on the self-proclaimed “speaker emerita.”
Under her harsh leadership, the Democratic Party lost the White House, the House, the Senate, and the popular vote. This fact cannot be emphasized enough.
Voters across the country rejected the Democrats, even in Pelosi’s traditionally Democratic stronghold of San Francisco, where there was a 7-point swing in favor of Donald Trump.
She holds the dubious distinction of being the only speaker in history to lose control of the House twice.
It’s clear that her reign is over.
Despite this, she has audaciously declared her candidacy for re-election in 2026 at the age of 86, with her term potentially extending to when she’s 88, the same age as when Trump’s term would end.
When is enough finally enough?
Her partisan aggression and maneuvering have only delayed the inevitable conflict between the radical left and moderate Democrats. Unfortunately, under Pelosi’s leadership, most moderates have distanced themselves from the party.
Lying and internal conflict
If the GOP aligns with Trump, then the Democratic Party is Pelosi’s domain – a toxic atmosphere of finger-pointing and bitterness, where blame is shifted among party members for their resounding defeat by the man they once disparaged as a Nazi. The American public disagreed, exposing the Democrats and their media allies as deceitful and dishonest.
If Trump truly posed such a threat to democracy, as Pelosi asserted until the bitter end, then why did Joe Biden warmly welcome him during a recent meeting, exclaiming, “Welcome back” to the man Pelosi vowed would never return to the White House?
She previously declared, “I decided a while ago that Donald Trump will never set foot in the White House again as president of the United States or in any other capacity,” as she sought to justify her actions against Biden, a former friend whom she claimed was sharp until his public stumble.
The frustration with Pelosi’s control and misguided decisions is growing among her party members. As she attempts to shift blame onto Biden, she alienates loyalists within the party.
Post-defeat, Pelosi has been involved in public arguments with Donna Brazile, exchanged verbal jabs with Bernie Sanders, and faced criticism from various news outlets. The Washington Post even fact-checked her false claim of illegal migration being worse under Trump than Biden.
“The View” co-host Ana Navarro criticized Pelosi for implying the Democrats could have won if Biden had resigned earlier.
