NY Times Shifts Perspective on Biden, While Washington Post Critiques Trump in Latest Poll
Journal of unsettling misinformation and perilous misconceptions
Identify the differentiation:
“Footage of [President] Biden . . . is undoubtedly altered to portray him as old and bewildered.” — New York Times, June 21
versus
“It’s hard to believe that he genuinely thought he could handle the world’s most demanding job for another four years.” — New York Times, Tuesday
Our perspective: Prior to Biden stepping back from his reelection efforts, the Gray Lady staunchly supported him, dismissing videos showing his decline as mere “cheap fakes.”
However, following his overdue decision to withdraw and Veep Kamala Harris’ unsuccessful campaign to succeed him, the Times is finally acknowledging that he lacked the cognitive strength for another term all along.
Who exactly are the “deceivers”?
This survey:
“Most Americans reject Trump’s ideas to test the boundaries of democracy” — Washington Post, Wednesday
Our view: What a classic case of push polling! WaPo-University of Maryland “researchers” inquired of Americans whether they support absurd, hypothetical, illegal proposals they claim Donald Trump is considering — then assign a “majority” opposed.
Should he imprison reporters for unflattering articles? Disband anti-Trump demonstrations? Investigate opponents?
Clearly a majority abhors such ideas. Yet there’s no proof that Trump will breach the law and act on them.
In contrast, Team Biden and Democrats have already engaged in this, through their lawfare, etc. — against Trump.
This proclamation:
“I’ve successfully secured the release of over 100 hostages [from Gaza].” — President Biden, Monday
Our opinion: How audacious. Yes, Biden desires that the hostages (including Americans) return.
Yet apparently not strongly enough to, say, deploy US military personnel to assist in their recovery.
Or to provide unwavering support to Israel for its rescue efforts.
Instead, he has criticized the Jewish state’s response, withheld military aid, repeatedly urged for a cease-fire, and even instructed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to engage the hostage-takers in Rafah.
As for the over 100 released in 2023 (at a significant cost to Israel), Biden scarcely deserves the accolades.
This nonsense:
“And I implore you to keep in mind the context of your existence. [Cackle, cackle.]” — VP Kamala Harris, Tuesday
Our perspective: Americans have turned away from Harris, partly due to her convoluted manner of speaking, yet even now she is unable to resist. Imagine subjecting the nation to four more years of such buffoonery.
