Parody of the Last Supper at the Olympics exposes tactics of woke leftist agenda
It appears that the culture warriors on the global left are quite bold!
At the first sign of resistance, they quickly resort to covering their backs with obvious, awkward lies.
For example, the controversial “Last Supper” parody featured in the Paris Olympics opening ceremony has caused quite a stir. It depicted drag queens in a scene reminiscent of Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic mural.
When Christians rightfully expressed their outrage at the mockery of their sacred beliefs, the Olympic organizers initially offered a half-hearted apology.
Spokeswoman Anne Descamps stated, “If people have taken any offense we are, of course, really, really sorry.”
However, the artistic director behind the display, Thomas Jolly, later denied that it was based on “The Last Supper” and claimed it was inspired by a pagan Greek feast. This claim contradicted previous statements that acknowledged the connection to da Vinci’s painting.
Despite these lies, social media is now filled with leftist individuals mocking anyone critical of the display, a tactic straight from the woke playbook.
Just like the situation with critical race theory, where it was introduced to schools and then denied when confronted by concerned parents.
France has a history of critical thinking, yet it is disappointing to see such sophomoric displays like the Olympic stunt and the subsequent denial of its connection to “The Last Supper.”
This incident with da Vinci’s work reflects the spread of American-style wokeism globally.
