Prevent Menendez’s blackmail scheme involving ‘Gold Bars’ from succeeding
Wow, what audacity!
Despite facing serious charges, Senator Bob “Gold Bars” Menendez appears to be involved in political blackmail by declaring his candidacy as an independent in New Jersey’s Senate race. Sources suggest he may be seeking a pardon from President Biden.
Rumors suggest that Menendez is afraid of losing his lucrative Senate pension and health benefits if convicted, and a pardon could help him retain these privileges.
By staying on the ballot in November, he could potentially take votes away from the Democratic nominee, Rep. Andy Kim, leading to a victory for hotel operator Curtis Bashaw, who defeated a Trump-endorsed candidate for the GOP nomination.
New Jersey has not elected a Republican US senator since 1972, and Democrats are already facing challenges in maintaining their slim Senate majority this upcoming election.
It may be regrettable for the Democrats, as they may have overlooked Menendez’s corruption for too long. Perhaps he went unnoticed among other corrupt Jersey Democrats.
They also failed to take any action to remove him from the Senate after he was charged.
Federal prosecutors seem to have substantial evidence against Menendez, including cash, gold bars, and other seized items from his residence, as well as favors granted to his co-defendants and foreign governments.
- Meddling in a federal case involving co-defendant Fred Daibes.
- Interfering with the NJ attorney general’s investigation into insurance fraud linked to a business associate of co-defendant Jose Uribe.
- Sharing sensitive US information with Egyptian officials.
- Ghostwriting a letter on behalf of Egyptian officials requesting Senate approval for US weapons sales.
- Pressuring a US Agriculture Department official to protect the export monopoly of another co-defendant, Wael Hana, for halal-certified food to Egypt.
Menendez’s actions are far from typical services provided by a congressional office, despite his claims.
It seems there is no limit to the lengths this scheming politician will go to, with suggestions that he may even seek a pardon from a potential re-elected President Donald Trump for betraying his own party.
Let’s make this the primary topic in the upcoming presidential debate: Both Biden and Trump should agree on not pardoning this unethical politician.
