Pro-Hamas demonstrators show their disdain for America, as well
During their rally on Independence Day in Washington Square Park, pro-Hamas extremists made it clear: they not only hate Israel but also America. Despite this, why does the White House and a significant portion of the Democratic Party continue to try to appease them?
A group of around 100 individuals, part of the “Flood Manhattan for July 4th” event, joyfully burned American flags while chanting “Burn it down!” and “Free free free Palestine,” as photographers wearing keffiyehs moved in to capture their anti-patriotism.
Despite attempts by a man in a Yankees hat to reason with the group, a video shows him quickly being drowned out by a man in glasses who excitedly shouts “F–k Israel! F–k America! Woohoo!” while other protesters laugh in agreement.
Similar disturbing demonstrations took place in Chicago and Philadelphia, cities with historical significance to American independence.
For these individuals, jeers and flag-burning are how they choose to commemorate our nation’s founding and the freedoms they benefit from.
It was a shameful and foolish display, revealing their true beliefs.
These radicals not only hate America and all it represents, but they also hold a disdain for Israel.
Despite this, many Democrats fail to push back against this anti-American sentiment.
President Biden desires the support of these radicals, leading him to downplay any criticism of “pro-Palestinian” protests. After antisemitic individuals in keffiyehs attacked Jews outside Congregation Adas Torah synagogue in Los Angeles last month, Biden issued a lukewarm condemnation.
Furthermore, his Justice Department has chosen not to take action against groups like the Palestinian Youth Movement, Code Pink, and others engaged in anti-Semitic behaviors toward Jews and synagogues.
Instead of addressing the issue, Jews are advised to use back entrances at their places of worship, cautioned against wearing anything that identifies them as Jewish, or told to hide when faced with aggressive anti-Semites.
It is remarkable that Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-Bx.) and Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) are exceptions in their party, standing up against those who hate Jews.
All Americans, regardless of their faith or political affiliation, should speak out against this behavior.
This includes Biden and his potential successor. If the Democratic nominee follows in the same path as the president, it will only give voters another reason to deal a significant blow to the party in November.
