Randi’s irrational desire to placate Hamas following the murder of hostages
Dear Randi Weingarten, let us be clear: Hamas is solely responsible for the cold-blooded murder of the six hostages, and it is Hamas alone that should face the outrage of the civilized world.
Despite this undeniable truth, Randi, who leads the American Federation of Teachers, chose to politicize this tragedy by tweeting: “Our hearts are breaking for the families of the hostages Hamas murdered. At the same time anger must be placed at [Benjamin] Netanyahu’s feet for his refusal to consummate cease fire/hostage release deal.”
Blaming Bibi overlooks the fact that he has agreed to several cease-fire proposals, all of which Hamas has rejected since January.
The Biden-Harris administration’s stance of demanding more concessions from Israel only rewards terrorists for their heinous acts.
Does Weingarten truly believe Netanyahu should surrender to terrorists?
There is no justification or rationale for the killing of hostages; any sort of reward or explanation is abhorrent.
Taking hostages and killing them is a war crime.
Hamas bears full responsibility for these deaths and for every hostage death while in captivity.
For every innocent life lost or harmed last Oct. 7 and throughout the ongoing conflict.
Israel is fighting with restraint to free the hostages and eradicate the terror group that violated the cease-fire to commit these atrocities and continues to target civilians until Israel is destroyed.
Hamas could have ended the war by releasing the hostages and disarming, possibly negotiating resettlement away from Gaza.
Instead, Hamas now threatens to massacre all hostages if rescue is attempted.
Despite this, Randi and others on the left blame Bibi for not appeasing the terrorists?
How can we allow someone like Weingarten, who is either terribly misguided or malicious, to be involved in educating our children?
