Require intelligence agencies to disclose information about Iran’s funding of US protests

As students return to college campuses, it is important to address Iran’s financing of protests, especially as Hamas-backers are already causing trouble.

This revelation may shed light on the involvement of antisemitic individuals and groups, as well as bring attention to the role of politicians like President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris as “useful idiots.”

Recently, National Intelligence Director Avril Haines confirmed that Iran is providing funding for certain anti-Israel and anti-American protests in the United States.

According to Danielle Pletka & Stephen Ailinger from National Review, this revelation highlights Iran’s ability to influence American civil society and the need to declassify intelligence on their operations in the US.

By bringing public attention to these operations, it becomes clear that the protests are not entirely “organic” as claimed by the Biden administration.

This also highlights the mistaken belief of Biden and Harris that the protesters “have a point.”

While many college students have been influenced by the false narrative that Israel is committing “genocide” against Palestinians, the reality is quite the opposite: Israel has gone to great lengths to protect Palestinian civilians in Gaza and Hamas and other radical groups actually seek genocide against Jews.

These misleading ideas are often perpetuated by left-wing professors and DEI agendas that demonize Israel and Jews as oppressors.

With the knowledge of Iran’s funding of anti-Israel groups and outside agitators, it is crucial to uncover the extent of this funding and identify the specific groups involved.

A full understanding of how Iranian funds fuel the violence is essential, especially as classes and protests resume on campuses.

Recent incidents at universities like Cornell, where anti-Israel activities have disrupted normal operations, emphasize the need for transparency in exposing Iran’s influence.

Just as declassifying information thwarted Russia’s plans in Ukraine, sharing intelligence on Iran’s activities can help combat these protests.

Americans have the right to know how Iran is manipulating public discourse and shaping narratives.

Without awareness, it is difficult to defend against this type of attack.

Congress should compel intelligence agencies to disclose what they know about Iran’s malicious activities.
