RFK Jr. could potentially cause greater environmental harm than Joe Biden

With six months remaining until Election Day, there is much speculation about the potential impact of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Currently polling at 12% nationally and appearing on the ballot in the crucial battleground state of Michigan, this former Democrat who is now an independent has managed to build a unique coalition that goes beyond his famous family name.

Kennedy’s bold stance on issues like the southern border, his willingness to challenge the medical industry, and his emphasis on fitness and personal health have garnered him unexpected support from the political right.

Recent polling data indicates that almost half, 48%, of Republicans have a favorable view of Kennedy, compared to 43% of independents and 35% of Democrats.

Despite this cross-party appeal, it is important to note that Kennedy holds extreme views on the issue of energy, which is a key concern defining the Biden administration.

His energy policies would surpass those of Joe Biden, despite the criticisms of the impacts of Biden’s policies on security, middle-class budgets, and national progress.

A closer examination reveals striking similarities between Kennedy and Biden.

While Biden identified climate change as the “only existential threat humanity faces,” Kennedy sees global warming as “the biggest crisis we face globally.”

Biden pledged to “end fossil fuel,” while Kennedy has criticized the country’s dependence on coal and oil.

Kennedy supports banning liquefied natural gas exports, has endorsed the Green New Deal, and has gone as far as labeling skeptics of climate warnings as “traitors.”

In the aftermath of 9/11, Kennedy controversially claimed that the environmental impact of hog producers posed a greater threat to the US than terrorism. These comments would have been damaging for most politicians, but the political landscape has changed significantly in recent years.

Kennedy made a name for himself as a lawyer for the National Resources Defense Council, a well-funded environmental group criticized for its connections to the Chinese Communist Party.

These details are crucial, especially considering Biden’s actions against the energy industry since taking office.

Within days of assuming the presidency, Biden canceled the Keystone XL pipeline and halted oil and gas leasing on federal lands. His legislative efforts, including the Build Back Better plan, have focused heavily on climate initiatives but have done little to address inflation.

His administration has targeted gas-powered vehicles, gas stoves, and coal plants in pursuit of environmental goals, leading to rising gas prices and concerns about economic stability.

While Kennedy’s charisma and broad appeal have kept him in the spotlight, voters should carefully consider the implications of his energy policies. Reversing the damage caused by Biden’s approach to energy will be essential for the nation’s security and economic well-being.

Kennedy’s alignment with the green agenda embraced by Biden raises concerns about the nation’s energy independence and security. Both left- and right-leaning individuals should be wary of the potential consequences.
